TLEGIO provides comprehensive transportation support services for NYC TLC-licensed drivers, including licensing assistance, compliance support, and work opportunities with authorized transportation companies.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing our website, submitting a driver application, requesting a car rental, submitting a contact form, or using our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you may not access our services.

3. SMS Program Terms of Service

When you consent to receive text messages from TLEGIO, you agree to receive marketing and transactional text messages from us at the phone number provided during sign-up through our website, driver application form, car rental form, or contact form. Message types include: driver application status updates, car rental confirmations, availability notifications, pickup/return reminders, job opportunities, compliance reminders, customer support responses, and promotional offers. Message frequency may vary depending on your rental status, application status, and the type of service selected (typically 2-10 messages per week during active periods).

STOP Command (Opt-Out)

Reply STOP to any TLEGIO message to opt-out immediately. Your request will be processed within seconds, and you'll receive a confirmation:

Note: You may still receive critical transactional messages related to active services (e.g., rental pickup confirmations, active application status) as these are necessary for contractual obligations.

Welcome Confirmation

Upon opting in, you'll receive a welcome message:

"Welcome to TLEGIO! You'll receive updates about your driver application/car rental. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help."

No Third-Party Marketing

We will NOT share your mobile phone number or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Your phone number may be shared only with authorized service partners (rental companies, SMS delivery providers) to deliver the specific services you requested.

Consent Not Required

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services from TLEGIO. However, opting out may limit our ability to provide timely updates about your application, rental, or service requests.

Carrier Charges

Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier's plan. TLEGIO is not responsible for any charges from your mobile carrier. Standard messaging rates apply as per your phone plan.

4. Driver Application and Requirements

To apply as a driver with TLEGIO, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a valid NYC TLC Driver's License
  • Possess a valid DMV Driver's License
  • Have valid vehicle insurance (FH1 with barcode)
  • Have valid vehicle registration
  • Have valid vehicle inspection and DOT certification
  • Have a valid TLC Diamond sticker or medallion
  • Provide accurate and complete information in your application

TLEGIO reserves the right to verify all submitted documents and information. Providing false or misleading information may result in immediate disqualification.

5. Services Provided

TLEGIO provides the following services:

  • Driver affiliation with licensed transportation companies
  • Access to Medicaid transportation and Access-A-Ride services
  • Premium chauffeur service opportunities (Blacklane, Wheely)

  • Administrative, legal coordination, and support services
  • Ongoing driver support and resources

5.2 Car Rental Services

  • Vehicle rental facilitation and coordination with authorized rental partners
  • Fleet matching based on your preferences (electric/standard, sedan/SUV/WAV)
  • Weekly rental and rent-to-own program options
  • Rental vehicles suitable for Uber, Lyft, and TLC operations
  • Insurance, maintenance, and unlimited mileage included in rental packages
  • Vehicle delivery and pickup coordination
  • Flexible rental terms and payment options

6. Car Rental Terms and Conditions

6.1 Rental Facilitation

TLEGIO acts as a facilitator between you and our authorized vehicle rental and leasing partners. When you submit a rental request:

  • We match your preferences with available vehicles from our partner fleet
  • We share your information with rental partners to process your request
  • You will enter into a separate rental agreement directly with the rental partner
  • TLEGIO is not the owner or lessor of the rental vehicles
  • Final rental approval and terms are determined by our rental partners

6.2 Rental Eligibility

To qualify for a car rental through TLEGIO, you must:

  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver's license (TLC license required for rideshare use)
  • Provide valid contact and payment information
  • Meet the credit and background check requirements of our rental partners
  • Comply with all vehicle usage terms and restrictions

6.3 Rental Responsibilities

As a rental customer, you agree to:

  • Use the vehicle only for authorized purposes (rideshare, personal use, etc.)
  • Maintain the vehicle in good condition and report any damage immediately
  • Make all rental payments on time according to your rental agreement
  • Return the vehicle on the agreed-upon date and in the same condition
  • Comply with all traffic laws and regulations while operating the vehicle
  • Not sublease or transfer the vehicle to any third party
  • Maintain valid insurance coverage as required by your rental agreement
  • Report any accidents, theft, or damage to TLEGIO and the rental partner immediately

6.4 Rental Payments and Fees

Rental payments and fees are determined by our rental partners and may include:

  • Weekly or monthly rental fees
  • Security deposits (may be required)
  • Late payment fees
  • Damage or excessive wear fees
  • Early termination fees (if applicable)
  • Additional mileage charges (if applicable)

All payment terms will be clearly outlined in your rental agreement with the partner company.

6.5 Vehicle Maintenance and Support

During your rental period:

  • Regular maintenance is included and coordinated by the rental partner
  • You must follow recommended maintenance schedules
  • Vehicle swaps may be provided during maintenance or repairs
  • You are responsible for daily vehicle care (cleaning, fuel, etc.)

7. User Responsibilities

As a user of TLEGIO services, you agree to:

  • Maintain current and valid licenses, insurance, and certifications
  • Comply with all NYC TLC regulations and requirements
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date contact information
  • Conduct yourself professionally with clients and passengers
  • Report any changes to your licensing or vehicle status immediately
  • Use our services in accordance with applicable laws and regulations
  • Not engage in any fraudulent or illegal activities

8. Fees and Payments

TLEGIO may charge fees for certain services. All fees will be clearly communicated before you are required to pay. Payment terms and conditions will be provided at the time of service.

Fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated in writing. We reserve the right to modify our fee structure with reasonable notice.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the TLEGIO website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of TLEGIO or its content suppliers and is protected by intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content without express written permission.

10. Limitation of Liability

TLEGIO provides support and facilitation services but does not guarantee employment, income, or rental vehicle availability. We are not responsible for:

  • Decisions made by TLC or other regulatory bodies
  • Actions of partner transportation or rental companies
  • Lost income or business opportunities
  • Delays in licensing or certification processes
  • Vehicle availability, condition, or performance
  • Accidents, damage, or theft involving rental vehicles
  • Disputes between you and rental partners
  • Third-party services, partnerships, or rental agreements
  • Vehicle maintenance delays or service interruptions
  • Insurance claims or coverage disputes related to rental vehicles

Rental Disclaimer: TLEGIO acts solely as a facilitator between drivers and rental companies. The rental agreement is between you and the rental partner. We do not own, lease, or operate rental vehicles. All rental terms, conditions, and liabilities are governed by your agreement with the rental partner.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to our services at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties, or for any other reason.

You may terminate your relationship with TLEGIO at any time by contacting us and ceasing use of our services.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts of New York County, New York.
